Yesterday, I shared about having faith without sight. Today I owe you the rest of the truth.
Some days, waiting is hard.
Some days I’m impatient. Some days I’m restless. And some days I can’t even cry out to the Lord. I just sit there with nothing to say.
If that’s you too, this post is for you.
When I Can’t Find the Words
I used to think prayer had to sound a certain way. But Romans 8:26 says, “The Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Even when I don’t have the words, the Spirit is praying for me.
Silence is not failure. Tears are not weakness. “Lord, help” is still a prayer.
But Then the Morning Comes
Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Yesterday’s impatience doesn’t follow me into today. Yesterday’s tears don’t cancel today’s mercy. Every morning, His grace shows up fresh.
And Isaiah 40:31 says, “They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.”
Renew. Because we will run low. Waiting doesn’t mean being strong every day. It means being renewed every day.
On the Hard Days
I keep it simple:
- Pray the smallest prayer: “Lord, help me.”
- Read one verse and let it sit.
- Take one small step.
- Remember He answered before, and He will again.
My Faith Reminder
Some days I wait with strong faith. Some days I wait with tired faith. Either way, I’m waiting on a faithful God.
His mercies are new every morning. His strength is renewed every morning. His grace is enough for today.
Prayer
Father, some days I don’t have the words. Thank You that You hear me anyway. When I’m weary, renew my strength. When I’m impatient, remind me that Your timing is perfect. I may not see the whole road, but I trust the One who does. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
